Employee Spotlight 2023: Meet Legal Administrative Assistant, Alex Turi

To conclude our 2023 Employee Spotlight series, we sat down with legal administrative assistant Alex Turi to get to know her better and find out how she approaches each day at the firm with professionalism, compassion and empathy, and loyalty, all while achieving stellar results for clients.

Meet Alex: an Empathetic Legal Professional Who Tackles It All

Born and raised in Cleveland, Alex is a dedicated, empathetic legal professional with an eye for detail. Alex wears many hats at the firm and can be found drafting and reading essential documents for attorneys, assisting in the preservation of evidence for client matters, researching case law and statutes, and stepping in to assist the intake with fielding initial client calls and onboarding new clients.

Outside of Minc Law, Alex enjoys watching psychological thrillers (as you’ll read below!), spending time with friends and family, traveling, and caring for her dog and two cats.

In Your Own Words, What Do You Do at Minc Law?

I’m the legal administrative assistant here at Minc Law. I do a little bit of everything. I help with the intake side when it comes to answering phones and I also assist with the client onboarding process, such as setting up client matters and sending out client status updates.

As of late, I’ve stepped more into the paralegal side of things and began assisting more with attorney work, such as helping out with sending DMCAs, proofing letters to send out, preserving evidence for client matters, and helping out with subpoenas and production letters.

What is Your All-Time Favorite Memory?

My all-time favorite memory is going on my most recent vacation where my family and I traveled to Turks and Caicos for a week. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. We snorkeled, scuba-dived, and laid on the beach all day.

This was the first family vacation that both my parents and sister could go on and was the first big family trip that we’ve taken, so it was an especially memorable experience.

What is Your Favorite Movie?

One of my favorite movies is Shutter Island. I always enjoy psychological thrillers – especially ones that have a huge twist at the end. That’s a film that just keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

Which One Word Would Your Colleagues Use to Describe You?

I think my coworkers would describe me as “serious,” maybe too serious sometimes. However, when I get locked in on a task or project, I tend to heavily focus on that and ensure that I accomplish it.

Sometimes I just lock in because I am so focused on things – especially the type of work that we do that is extremely meaningful and requires a high attention to detail. I lock in so that I can always ensure favorable results for our clients.

Why Did You Choose Minc Law?

Our area of expertise is so niche and it has been a really great experience to learn more about the realm of internet defamation, sextortion, and online content removal.

I wanted to work at a smaller law firm because there are a lot of different experiences and areas of law that I can be a part of. For me, working in a collaborative environment and having the opportunity to grow and move into different positions was important.

What is Something Most People Don’t Know About You?

A fun fact about me is that I can juggle. I taught myself how to after a middle school talent show when I saw someone else perform. I thought it was really cool and decided to learn with my sister.

What is Your Favorite Part About Working at Minc Law?

My favorite part of working at Minc Law is that I’m able to interact with our clients on a daily basis. I really enjoy working with my coworkers and enjoy the collaborative environment we have. It’s truly a job that I look forward to coming to every single day.

I genuinely feel like I’m doing meaningful work and I love seeing the results when I’m able to help people. Furthermore, no day is ever boring. Every day there’s something new. Anything can come through our doors at any time and we have to be on top of this.
