Jacobsen, Simonelli and Woodward Join Minc Law

Cleveland, OH, September 15, 2022 – Internet defamation law firm Minc Law is proud to announce the addition of attorneys Susan Jacobsen, Michele McBride Simonelli, and Nathan Woodward.

Susan Jacobsen’s background in cybersecurity, technology, data privacy and advocacy during and after graduating from law school enables her to provide creative solutions and unique insight when handling defamation and privacy issues for Minc Law clients. She helps companies and individuals manage their online privacy to protect against or address extortion, online harassment, cyberbullying, revenge porn, and other invasive privacy issues. Prior to joining Minc Law, Susan worked in the Special Investigations Division of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office where she was involved with the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI), the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, and the Cold Case Unit. She was also a judicial extern for the Supreme Court of Ohio and personal bailiff to a Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court judge.

Michele McBride Simonelli brings more than two decades of experience representing businesses and individuals in both the private and public sectors domestically and internationally. During that time, she was a Judicial Staff Attorney for the Ohio District Courts of Appeals for both the Eleventh and Seventh Districts and then a business owner managing her solo practice that covered a broad scope of matters. Michele’s experience includes handling highly sensitive and emotionally charged matters involving online defamation, revenge porn, sextortion, highly contested divorces, custody matters, and LGBTQIA issues both in litigation and out of the courtroom.

As an experienced and skilled litigator and trial attorney, Nate Woodward has represented government entities, businesses and individuals in a broad range of pre litigation disputes and complex legal matters including sextortion, business and personal defamation, intellectual property, business contract disagreements, insurance coverage, and catastrophic personal injury. He has served as first and second chair in jury trials, handled complex litigation at the trial and appellate levels, successfully tried a disputed liability suit to jury verdict, and independently represented clients in bench trials and administrative hearings. “Susan, Michele and Nate are welcome additions to our team,” said Aaron Minc, Founder & Principal of Minc Law. “As the world of internet defamation becomes more prevalent in all walks of life and for businesses of every size, Michele, Nate and Susan’s backgrounds in analysis, negotiation, advocacy and litigation will help our clients resolve their issues swiftly while minimizing both the monetary and emotional costs associated with these types of matters.”

Susan earned her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and her bachelor degree from Winona State University. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associate and was recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” by Thompson Reuters (2023).
