Meet Minc Law Intake & Paralegal Manager Darcy Buxton
Darcy wears countless hats at the firm and is an empathetic advocate for victims of internet privacy attacks and violations. She possesses an innate ability to put herself in each client’s shoes to understand what they are going through and put them at ease, even when they are going through one of the most difficult times of their lives.
In addition to being Minc Law’s paralegal manager, Darcy assists with client intake coordination, hiring and onboarding, website article and resource creation, and everything in between. She is a mother of two, a dedicated wife who has been married to her best friend for 8 years, a gardener, and Cleveland Guardians supporter. She also enjoys reading and hiking with her children in the Metroparks.

What Do You Do Here at Minc Law?
I am the intake and paralegal manager here at Minc Law. I assist with intake coordination, hiring, onboarding new hires, and training.
I also plan happy hours, help organize quarterly meetings, attend professional seminars on behalf of the firm, and am a member of the leadership team.
I do a little bit of everything!
How Did You Adjust Professionally During the Pandemic?
I remember it was a Monday when we learned that we needed to transition to “work from home” the next day.
I had to quickly transition to learning how to balance working from home, acting on the fly, raising my two small children, and how to manage Zoom calls while my kids were home.
It was such a unique time where prior to the pandemic I only worked in the office free of distractions and then all of a sudden I am working and raising two small children at the same time.
What is Something Most People Don’t Know About You?
Something that people don’t know about me is that I don’t use social media very much. My friends call me a bad social media friend because I rarely post or comment.
Recently, a friend called me and asked why I wasn’t at her party. I asked what she was talking about and she said that she sent me a Facebook party invite. I had no idea what that was or how to find it. She laughed and said for someone who worked at an internet-based law firm, you sure are clueless about social media.
I’m also an animal lover of all types and passionate Cleveland Guardians supporter!
What is Your Personal Motto?
My personal motto is “Treat people the way you want them to treat you.” It’s just humanity and it’s something I think this world is lacking right now.
What is Your Favorite Movie?
My favorite movie, without a doubt, is Hocus Pocus. It just gets me in the spirit of Halloween. It’s not too scary, my kids can watch it, and Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker are hilarious.
What Are You Most Proud of Working on During Your Time at Minc Law?
I was doing a removal for somebody and he was posted on a shaming site. He wasn’t sure who posted it and really wanted to find out. I was able to get the post removed, I got the data back, and here it was someone with whom he was very close.
He was actually going to be marrying that person the following weekend. He was very relieved that we were able to figure out who posted him and he thanked me profusely the following week.
