Legal Billing Specialist

As a critical point of contact for Minc Law clients, Ava is a vital component in the firm’s billing process, fielding and answering client calls regarding invoices and costs and escalating urgent matters to appropriate parties. She also acts as a bridge between clients and attorneys to ensure no client question goes unanswered. Ava screens incoming client calls and conducts initial conversations with prospective clients before assigning them to one of Minc Law’s highly experienced paralegals. Demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and empathy towards all callers when they contact the firm is her main priority – whether to address a billing concern or talk through a potential internet defamation or privacy-related matter. Ava often fields calls from sextortion clients who come to the firm in a distressed, vulnurable state and provides an understanding, pragmatic, and reassuring voice to talk them through this highly personal and private situation, all while providing actionable guidance for the next steps.

Ava leverages computer forensics and security experience to manage Minc Law’s Digital Risk Protection (“DRP”) service to help monitor clients’ online reputations with the ZeroFOX software. She enrolls and enters new DRP registrations into the system to commence the on-boarding process, processes and manages payments, and provides customer support and assistance to DRP clients. In addition, given Ava’s background in IT, she assists with troubleshooting technology issues that may arise within the firm.
