Mackenzie Detrich

Attorney

Mackenzie Detrich brings a unique blend of legal expertise, creative thinking, and intellectual curiosity to her role as an attorney at Minc Law. With a strong background in art history and a passion for intellectual property law, Mackenzie applies her diverse skill set to assist clients in defamation litigation and adult content removal matters.

Mackenzie began her career at Minc Law as a law clerk, gaining two years of in-depth experience in defamation and privacy law while still in law school. During that time, she worked on a broad range of matters, developing a strong foundation in the legal and technical aspects involved in online reputation management.

Now a full-time attorney with the firm, Mackenzie helps clients navigate issues such as online defamation, harassment, and content removal. She also has extensive experience in matters involving nonconsensual intimate image abuse and adult content. She has successfully removed tens of thousands of pieces of explicit content from the internet, negotiated copyright and licensing agreements, and created tailored, privacy-focused solutions to help clients regain control over their online presence.

Mackenzie earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she distinguished herself through her exceptional academic performance and practical experience. She was named a Justice Story Intellectual Property Law Fellow and served as Executive Notes Editor for the Journal of International Law. Her legal education included hands-on experience in CWRU’s First Amendment Clinic and the Intellectual Property Venture Clinic, where she worked on matters involving defamation as well as copyright, trademark, and design patent law.

Outside of the office, Mackenzie enjoys exploring Cleveland, visiting art museums, and staying engaged with the city’s vibrant cultural scene.
